This wall hanging is similar to one designed and created on the occasion of the Installation of The Reverend Maureen Q. Thitchener as Co-Minister of the Waterloo County Unitarian Fellowship in 1992.
The design symbolizes the harmony and diversity of both the Unitarian and Canadian identity. One can see in the different sizes and types of maple leaves and the colours and textures chosen that I was inspired by the Canadian concept of the mosaic and the Unitarian ideal of free expression. The beauty of each individual leaf is an artistic rendering of the beauty of each individual life.
