In June of 1993 I received a gift of 250 six-inch squares to use in constructing my "president's" challenge quilt. The quilt was to be shown at the AGM of the Canadian Quilters' Association. following year. This quilt reflects the influence of Mary Ellen Hopkins (design), Jinny Beyer (colour) and Georgia Bonesteel (construction). Mary Ellen would be horrified to see a quick quilt idea of hers done in a scrap-type manner!
